Spreadsheet input problems
Fix upload failures, missing rows, leading zeros and column mapping.
My spreadsheet will not upload
ABAFlow accepts CSV and Excel (.xlsx) files. You can also copy five columns from Excel, Google Sheets or Apple Numbers and use Paste rows. Legacy .xls files are not supported.
My CSV is empty or no payment rows appear
Check that:
- Your spreadsheet contains at least one payment row.
- The first row contains column headings.
- There are no blank rows above your headings.
- You exported the correct worksheet or tab.
- The CSV was not opened and resaved by another application after export.
Correct the spreadsheet, export a new CSV and upload it again.
My BSB or account number has lost its leading zero
Spreadsheet applications can treat BSBs and account numbers as numbers and remove leading zeros.
Format these columns as Text before entering or importing the values, then export a new CSV.
ABAFlow cannot identify my columns
Your headings do not need to use ABAFlow’s exact wording because you can map them during the conversion process. However, each required field must have its own column:
- Recipient BSB
- Recipient Account Number
- Account Name
- Amount
- Description
Avoid merged cells, multiple heading rows and totals within the payment data.
